Is it worth upgrading Windows 11 Home to Pro?
Yes, if you need any of the following: drive encryption you control, the ability to connect to this PC remotely, virtual machines, or joining a work network. If you only browse, stream and use Office, Home already does everything you need, and the upgrade won’t make the PC any faster.

Remote Desktop is the most common reason people buy this upgrade. Windows 11 Home can connect out to other PCs, but nothing can connect to it. That becomes a problem the first time you need to reach a home or office machine while you’re away from it.
How do I upgrade Windows 11 Home to Pro?
Enter the key in the Activation settings and let Windows switch editions. The detailed steps are below.
- Open Settings > System > Activation. Check that the edition shows Windows 11 Home and that Windows is activated.
- Install any pending updates, then save and close your work.
- Expand Upgrade your edition of Windows and select Change product key.
- Enter the 25-character key from your order email, then select Start. The PC restarts while the Pro features are added. Keep it plugged in.
- Once you are back on the desktop, return to Settings > System > Activation. It should show Windows 11 Pro and Active.

What do you need before you start?
- Windows 11 Home that is already activated. The upgrade changes your edition, but it does not activate an unlicensed copy of Home.
- Not in S mode. If Settings shows Windows 11 Home in S mode, switch out of S mode first. Microsoft does this free through the Microsoft Store.
- An internet connection so Windows can activate the new edition.
- No new hardware. Pro has the same requirements as Home, so any PC already running Windows 11 Home can run Pro.
Which product should you buy instead?
- You’re still on Windows 10 Home: use the Windows 10 Home to Pro upgrade. Pro then carries over when you take the free move to Windows 11.
- You’re building a new PC or doing a clean install: a full Windows 11 Pro licence is simpler than installing Home and then upgrading. Our Windows 11 Pro install guide covers that route.

Frequently asked questions
Will upgrading to Pro delete my files?
No. Changing from Home to Pro is an edition change, not a reinstall, so your documents, apps and settings stay in place. Backing up important files before any system change is still a sensible habit.
Do I need to reinstall Windows to get Pro?
No. Windows 11 Home and Pro use the same installation. Entering a Pro key unlocks the extra features after a restart.
Will my PC still get Windows updates?
Yes. Windows 11 Pro gets the same monthly security updates and yearly feature updates as Home. Pro also lets you postpone feature updates if you prefer to wait for them.
Can I use the key on more than one PC?
No. One key upgrades one PC. For several machines, order one key per PC or ask us for a volume price.
Does BitLocker encrypt my drive automatically after the upgrade?
No. BitLocker is available after the upgrade, but you choose when to switch it on in Settings. Save the recovery key somewhere safe before you encrypt, because without it you can be locked out of your own data.
How quickly will I receive the key?
The key is usually emailed within minutes of payment clearing, and it is also saved in your account. If it hasn’t arrived, check your spam folder and then track your order.
What if the upgrade fails?
Note the error code and open a support ticket. Most failures come from an unactivated Home installation or S mode, and both can be fixed. If the key itself is at fault, our refund and replacement policy applies.
Refunds
Once a purchased software package has been activated or an activation has been attempted through an online activation site, the package becomes none refundable But in serious matters, we can refund on Wincdkey wallet. So you can use every product. We cannot add the software package to our stock if an activation has been completed or attempted.
We cannot issue a refund if a customer has purchased the wrong product. Rather then we can change it if he not try to active it

Exchanges
Microsoft Softwares will exchange software purchases for up to 30 days after order completion but only if the software has not been downloaded by the customer, you can also return your purchased software within 30 days if the software remains none downloaded for a full refund.
Redemption or Activation:
After purchasing keys, you will get a voucher code which is needed to redeem. this voucher code have a lifetime validity but once redeem it then you need to activate your windows or office within 7 working days.
