What 50 RDS User CALs cover
Each CAL in the pack licenses one person to start Remote Desktop sessions on a Windows Server 2022 session host. They can connect from an office PC, a home laptop or a tablet; it still counts as one CAL.
Remote Desktop needs two licences per person. The Windows Server 2022 User CAL covers server access. The RDS User CAL covers the hosted session. This pack is the second of those.
A single 50-user pack keeps everything on one key and one entry in your licensing records, which is tidier than stacking smaller packs.

Who is it for?

Per User mode works properly only when the licence server and session hosts are in an Active Directory domain. In a workgroup, Per User CALs are not tracked, so device licensing is the safer choice there.
Version rule and support status
RDS CALs must be the same version as the session host or newer. These 2022 CALs license 2022 and older session hosts, not Windows Server 2025. The licence server needs to run Windows Server 2022 or later to issue them.
Windows Server 2022 ended mainstream support on 13 October 2026, and security updates continue to 14 October 2031 under Microsoft's fixed lifecycle policy.

How to install the 50 RDS User CALs
- Add the Remote Desktop Licensing role to a domain-joined Windows Server 2022 machine.
- In RD Licensing Manager, activate the server (automatic connection is quickest).
- Choose Install Licenses, select the licence program that matches your order (usually Retail purchase / License Pack) and enter the key from your email.
- Select Windows Server 2022, Per User, quantity 50.
- Add the licence server to the Terminal Server License Servers group in Active Directory when prompted.
- Set your session collection to Per User mode and point it at the licence server, then check RD Licensing Diagnoser.

How many people does this pack license?
Fifty named users. Each can open Remote Desktop sessions from any number of devices, so laptops, desktops and tablets all count once per person.
Do I also need Windows Server CALs?
Yes. Each of the 50 users needs a Windows Server 2022 User or Device CAL as well. The RDS CAL covers only the remote session.
Does Per User mode need a domain?
Yes, in practice. Per User RDS CALs are tracked in Active Directory. In a workgroup they are not tracked or reported, so Per Device mode is recommended there.
Can I use these on Windows Server 2025?
No. A Windows Server 2025 session host needs 2025 RDS CALs. These cover 2022 and older session hosts.
What is the 120-day grace period?
A new session host allows remote connections for 120 days without a licence server. After that, connections stop until valid RDS CALs are installed and the licensing mode is set.
Can I split the 50 CALs across two licence servers?
A pack is installed on one licence server. Session hosts in several collections can all point to that same server.
Is Windows Server 2022 still a good choice?
For existing deployments, yes: security updates run to October 2031. For a new build, Windows Server 2025 has a longer support window.
Refunds
Once a purchased software package has been activated or an activation has been attempted through an online activation site, the package becomes none refundable But in serious matters, we can refund on Wincdkey wallet. So you can use every product. We cannot add the software package to our stock if an activation has been completed or attempted.

Exchanges
Microsoft Softwares will exchange software purchases for up to 30 days after order completion but only if the software has not been downloaded by the customer, you can also return your purchased software within 30 days if the software remains none downloaded for a full refund.
Redemption or Activation:
After purchasing keys, you will get a voucher code which is needed to redeem. this voucher code have a lifetime validity but once redeem it then you need to activate your windows or office within 7 working days.
Refund process
Refunds will be credited back to the credit/debit card that customers used to place their order, refunds are processed from our platform immediately the time taken to credit to the customer depends entirely on the customers card issuer and/or bank account.
