LTSC stands for Long-Term Servicing Channel. Microsoft freezes the feature set at release and only ships security and stability fixes until the support end date.

That matters on a work PC. Menus and behaviour stay the same, so training notes and templates do not go out of date halfway through a project. The trade-off is that you will not receive new features added to the subscription version.

What Project Standard includes

Not included: Team Planner, inactive tasks, SharePoint task list sync and Project Server or Project Online connection. Those need Project 2024 Professional LTSC. Copilot is not part of any 2024 one-time licence.

How to install and activate

1. Download the ISO from the link in your order email and open it (double-click mounts it as a drive in Windows 10 and 11).
2. Run setup and wait for Project Standard 2024 to install.
3. Open Project, go to File, then Account, and choose Change Product Key.
4. Enter the key from your email. Project activates online within a few seconds.

Yes, on the same PC. Reinstall from the ISO and enter the same key. Moving it to a different PC may need phone activation, and our support team can help.

Is Project 2024 Standard LTSC the same as the retail Standard version?

The features are the same. The difference is licensing: LTSC is a volume licence with key activation and no account link, while retail keys bind to your Microsoft account.

Does it work on a Mac?

No. Project is available for Windows only.

Does it include Copilot or AI features?

No. Copilot belongs to Microsoft’s cloud subscriptions. The LTSC release has no AI features.
