How to activate

1. Open your order email and copy the product key.
2. Go to microsoft365.com/setup and sign in with the Microsoft account you want the licence stored on.
3. Enter the key. Project Professional 2024 then appears in your account’s list of products.
4. Download the installer from your account page and run it.
5. Open Project. It activates online once you are signed in with the same account.

No, it is a one-time purchase. Microsoft supplies security updates until 9 October 2029, as shown on the Project 2024 lifecycle page. After that date the software keeps working but receives no further fixes.

Can I move it to a new PC?

Yes. Because the key is redeemed to your Microsoft account, you uninstall it from the old PC, sign in on the new one and install again from your account. The licence covers one PC at a time.

Does Project Professional 2024 work on a Mac?

No. Microsoft only makes Project for Windows. Mac users can run it inside a Windows virtual machine, but there is no native macOS version.

Does it include Copilot?

No. Copilot in Project is part of Microsoft’s cloud subscription plans. The 2024 one-time purchase does not include Copilot or other AI features.
